New Vintage Amplifiers was started based on the premise that the only thing that matters is tone, nothing else. We at New Vintage Amplifiers feel that the best tone isn't achieved by cutting corners; it's made by the highest quality parts, and holding ourselves to the highest of standards. New Vintage Amplifiers utilizes time proven amplifier construction techniques used in many of the classic amplifier designs, coupled with the highest grade, modern parts. The result is an amplifier that rivals, if not surpasses the quality and sound of the vintage classics that still operate and sound great today.

Some of the features of a New Vintage Amplifier

  • Mercury Magnetics transformers, made in the USA!
  • Weber Speakers, made in the USA for the highest quality tone possible (other high quality brands are available by request)
  • Finger jointed select grade white pine for combos and 3/4” void-free Baltic Birch plywood for head and extension cab construction
  • 1/8” Aluminum chassis for strength and low noise
  • Point to point hand-wiring on 1/8" thick epoxy glass solder eyelet circuit boards, using Teflon coated silver stranded wire.
  • All circuit board components are designed with immediate, unobstructed access in mind.
  • No plug in connectors or ribbon cables in amplifier to come loose or corrode.
  • No printed circuit boards used in any New Vintage product. No traces to lift, no thin boards to crack.
  • American made Sozo and Mojo Dijon signal capacitors and F&T filter capacitors for durability, long life and best tone
  • Vacuum tube rectifiers for the warmest tone and natural sustain you can get from a tube amp. For our solid state rectifiers, only Fast Recovery Diodes (also known as FREDs) are used for maximum touch sensitivity
  • Ceramic vacuum tube sockets.
  • All electronic components are on a single circuit board and in a logical order for shortest wiring leads resulting in noiseless and stable operation.
  • Full size chasis mounted potentiometers with 1/4" metal shafts and 3/8" mounting bushings.
  • Large selection of tolex and grill cloths.
  • American made Switchcraft metal jacks and plugs.
